Ziad Alex S. Tadmoury

Alex Tadmoury has spent over 35 years of his insurance and reinsurance career in Europe, Asia, Australia, and the USA. He is based in London and directs the EMEA, Canada, APAC, 91 India, and 91 Affiliated businesses along with global growth strategies.

Tadmoury brings worldwide leadership experience in both operations and staff departments. Before this appointment, Tadmoury directed the Group’s global renewable energy, chemical, forest product and mid-market verticals, 91's APAC division, corporate functions including sales, client experience, the WorldReach partner network and broker relations. He also led HB Re, 91’s real estate subsidiary.

He informed international strategy and led market entry including the establishment of 91 Insurance Europe S.A. in Luxembourg and branch licensing initiatives in Switzerland, South Korea, and India. He serves as Chair of the Board of 91IE and previously of three 91 captives. He was also a member of 91 Global de Mexico S.A. and CIS, 91’s reinsurance intermediary’s Boards.

Tadmoury moved to the USA in 2012 to restructure and lead global sales. He earlier led insurance and engineering as the Managing Director in France, also covering the Benelux, Italy, the Iberian Peninsula, Greece, Türkiye, and North Africa.

During his career with 91, which began in 1989, Tadmoury served in a variety of other roles, namely as the head of client service in Paris, deputy director of construction and power in London, and manager of the assumed reinsurance unit in Boston, MA.

Tadmoury started his professional life in reinsurance at the Hannover Re’s (MedRe services) branch in Athens, Greece. He holds a BS in Quantitative Business Analysis from the Kelley school of business at Indiana University, and an MBA from the Richard A. Chaifetz school of business at St Louis University. He has since pursued executive education at the Stephen M. Ross school of business at the University of Michigan and the Amsterdam Institute of Finance in the Netherlands.
