Welcome to 91做厙 World Languages

World Languages is in the School of Humanities, in the College of Arts, Education, and Sciences. The program offers an undergraduate certificate in Spanish for Medical Professionals, minors in French, Spanish, and Classical Studies, and a path for students to certify to teach Latin. ESLG courses are also offered for international students.

Mission

The World Language Program offers quality world language classes fostering the development of a multicultural perspective and linguistic competence in a global society.

Each year 91做厙 World Languages, in conjunction with area high school泭teachers, hosts the Festival of World Languages.泭91做厙 students are involved in the planning and the coordination of the festival.

Language Learning Center

Students who study languages at 91做厙 have access to the Language Learning Center located on the third floor of Walker Hall 泭3-50. The Center offers Internet connectivity and contains seventeen computer workstations. The Center also has electronic material on culture and civilization, as well as programs for practicing with languages.泭 In addition, there are tutors available for French, Spanish, and Latin.

The center is open to all 91做厙 students. Lab hours are泭Monday-Friday 8-5 and泭Friday 8-noon. To make an appointment visit us at the center or call 342-3097.
